**Main Purpose**
To identify and develop new business opportunities within United States which will help Boomitra achieve its strategic and business objectives.


**Tasks and responsibilities**
● Establish business performance targets and metrics and be accountable for the overall recruitment of suppliers in the region
● Contribute to the global annual strategy, planning and budgeting processes by bringing in regional perspective
● Originate, structure and close new deals in carbon credits with project owners, Farm Co-ops, FPOs, intermediaries, partners, and growers
● Grow the network of project developers and suppliers of carbon credits in the region
● Create a strategic and compelling portfolio of carbon projects for meeting the demand of our broad set of corporate clients
● Deep experience in the geography, and related agriculture technologies/digital tools
● Experienced in deploying strategies to expand a product to new crops and geographies
● Sales DNA: Be the face of Boomitra Inc. to the partner and customer – leverage
relationship selling and data gathering to deliver a high-quality customer experience
● Grower-oriented mindset: be able to translate solution offerings into “the language of the
retailer or grower”
● Self-starter with high degree of ownership, strategic thinking, and drive
● Experienced in bringing commercial, pragmatic mindset to highly technical and scientific
teams
● Analyse client needs, gather market intelligence, and identify industry trends
● Lead the full carbon project management of our portfolio of projects in the geography of
interest, in coordination with Senior Leads
● Supervise, guide, train and support and be responsible for recruiting and increasing
outputs of farmers/grower teams based in the geography
● Gather, prepare, and present information to various types of stakeholders as requested
● Define, plan, and execute all needed processes/procedures to support the certification of a
project including all deliverables and reviews
● Support the global teams in identifying relevant partners for upcoming opportunities and
providing technical advisory for new opportunities


**Your profile**
● University degree in Environmental Sciences, Business, or other relevant discipline
● 5-7 years of experience selling and implementing direct-to-grower facing programs and initiatives (open to profiles from agricultural inputs, agriculture technology, forestry, land conservation etc.). This includes several years of experience in business development roles in sustainability or farming sectors, as well as experience managing multifunctional teams
● Deep knowledge and expertise in AFOLU/environmental markets, sustainability, and climate action
● Experience in establishing clear performance targets and metrics, with proven track record of meeting or exceeding challenging targets
● Strategic mindset, with the ability to create a regional business plan that aligns with global strategy, enabling Boomitra to achieve its ambitions for impact and growth
● Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the evolution of environmental
markets within the region and translate this into compelling business opportunities that
are financially sound
● Outstanding interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
● Outstanding financial and planning skills, with experience contributing to strategy and budgeting processes
● Experience in scaling up a fast-growing organization in a highly competitive market
environment
● Excellent written and oral command of English. Conversational ability in Spanish,
Portuguese is desirable
● Existing relationships and experience working with potential clients, collaborators or other relevant stakeholders is a plus.
